Brief Summary

        At Mile Two, I worked on cross-functional teams of 4–10 designers, researchers, and engineers across a wide range of client engagements. Early in my tenure, I focused on hands-on research execution—conducting user interviews and group sessions, facilitating client workshops, and collaborating closely with customers to explore complex problem spaces. I translated research insights into low-fidelity system models and screen flows that supported rapid testing and iteration, ultimately contributing to high-fidelity, shipped products.

        As my role evolved, I began leading research, strategy, and design efforts. I owned client communication and facilitated workshops centered on problem discovery, problem framing, and product strategy. While projects were at different stages of maturity, I gained experience across the full product lifecycle—from early discovery through delivery.

Automated Email Marketing Service (AFRL)

  • An internal automated email marketing platform to streamline outreach and engagement. Our team designed and delivered a lightweight service enabling campaign creation, scheduling, audience segmentation, and analytics, while ensuring consistent messaging and reducing manual effort for communications teams.
     

Proposal Evaluation and Life Cycle Management (SBIR & STTR office)

  • Think: slightly like submittable.com + (tailored to the unique rules, criteria, and scale of government small-business funding.)

  • A custom internal platform to manage SBIR/STTR proposals, combining structured submission, collaborative reviewer evaluation, and program oversight. The project began with mapping the full proposal lifecycle to identify cognitive bottlenecks and regulatory friction points, then delivering decision-support tools that helped evaluators navigate high-volume solicitations efficiently while minimizing automation bias and fatigue.

Web Portal + Innovation Interest Community Forum (AFWERX)

  • A web portal to organize a hierarchy of AFWERX offerings and  enable interest based community engagement, providing tools for collaboration, discussion, and opportunity discovery. The platform supports structured workflows for topic submission, networking, and knowledge discovery while fostering secure communication based on robust community permissions/roles.

 

Intake, Triage, & Decision Platform for organizational initiatives  (AFWERX)

  • An internal platform for AFWERX to intake, evaluate, and route ideas/requests into proper buckets for recurring leadership selection. Started with domain analysis and workflow mapping to identify intake friction and decision load, then delivered features enabling structured submissions and shared visibility as initiatives moved through the funnel—improving coordination with decision load.

Tracking, Assessing, & Planning Improvements for Organizational Digital Maturity (DTO)

  • A digital maturity platform enabling structured tracking, assessment, and improvement planning of digital capabilities. The tool operationalizes a comprehensive maturity assessment framework based on an industry‑informed set of digital capabilities and metrics, helping organizations baseline current digital states, set target objectives, and identify prioritized improvement actions. Built to support iterative assessment cycles and strategic planning, the platform provides a rigorous way to quantify/visualize performance across data maturity domains over time. 
     

Acquisition AI Mission Platform- (AFWERX | SBIR/STTR)

  • AI-assisted mission platform supporting proposal evaluation assignments and award management within SBIR/STTR programs. The system used language-based matching to recommend evaluators for submitted proposals and to organize awarded proposals into domain-based cohorts. A key focus was explainable decision design—surfacing AI reasoning, confidence signals, and context—to build user trust while enabling human-in-the-loop review, manual overrides, and anomaly checks for high-impact decisions.
